Your Rights Under GDPR

2. Right to Rectification
Article 16 GDPR
You have the right to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

- Correct profession or role information
- Fix errors in order or transaction records

3. Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten")
Article 17 GDPR
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data.
What Gets Deleted:
- All analysis reports and results
- Email address and profession data
- Access tokens and login information
- Minute balance and usage history
⚠️ What We Must Keep (Legal Obligation):
- Order records and transaction history (required by tax law for 7 years)
- Financial audit trail (legal requirement)
- Badge certification data (certificate ID, badge tier, verification hash) - required for public verification of credentials during 24-month validity period and beyond
These records contain minimal data (Order ID, amount, date) and cannot be deleted due to legal obligations under Indian tax law.
Badge Certificates: If you earned a badge certification, your certificate data cannot be deleted because it serves as an independent verification credential that third parties rely on (employers, clients, platforms). Deleting this data would invalidate legitimate credentials you've displayed publicly.
How to Request: Email privacy@speaksights.com with subject "Data Deletion Request". Your data will be permanently deleted within 48 hours, except for legally required records.
4. Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

5. Right to Restrict Processing
Article 18 GDPR

When You Can Restrict Processing:
- While we verify the accuracy of disputed data
- If processing is unlawful but you don't want deletion
- When you need data for legal claims
- While we verify legitimate grounds for processing
Effect: We will store your data but not actively process it for other purposes until the restriction is lifted.
6. Right to Object
